We are looking for a Graduate Hardware Verification Test Engineer who is passionate about electronic and electrical engineering with a test focus. A team focus is essential as you will be working with a friendly team of experienced engineers.

About the role

This is a challenging role where you can exercise and grow your skill and understanding of electronic and electrical design and development, using leading edge tools and strategies to test and prove the design. You will be comfortable working autonomously and as part of a team.

The main area of test responsibility will be in System Verification Testing for AT hardware products. This involves understanding hardware electronic design and determining data paths to formulate test plans. It is expected that this role may extend into other areas of hardware design testing. There is also a potential for Python automation work so you can exercise your coding skills.

Your skills and experience

As a successful Graduate Hardware Verification Test Engineer at ATL you will be required to possess:

· Diploma or degree in electrical and electronic engineering, or equivalent.

· A good understanding of electronic and electrical engineering principles.

· Great communication skills with well-developed problem identification and resolution skills.

· Understanding of the hardware design and development cycle.

· A genuine customer and quality focus.

You will also potentially possess technical skills in some or all of the following areas:

· Analysing technical problems and identifying the root cause.

· Experience in hardware testing.

· Electrical certification.

· Ability to formulate test plans based on product design documents and schematics.

· An understanding of the interaction or hardware components within a network switch or router.

· Ability to utilise and shape network traffic to exercise the hardware.

· An understanding of networking principles, CCNA, CCNP or equivalent, is highly desirable.

· Network protocol and applications testing.

· Use of cutting-edge network traffic generators and analysers.

· Linux environments and/or similar OS variants.

· Programming in python or other scripting languages.
